As every person has his/her path, EcoTulum made its own. EcoTulum was born in spring 1998 with four original cabanas of Cabanas Copal, which grew gradually over the years to its current 47 cabanas.

In July 2003, Azulik with the first five villas started a premium concept which concludedwith the opening of another ten villas in December of the same year. Zahra was designed to fit the needs of those families who want to experience our Eco concept. It opened in fall 2003, with the original 22 cabanas and rooms.

MayaSpa began with its first massage therapist at Copal in January 2003, gradually expanding to its current facilities at all three hotels. Hurricanes Emily and Wilma of 2005 gave us an additional opportunity to upgrade and refresh all rooms at EcoTulum Resorts. With the intention of approaching different tastes, EcoTulum is now open to offer a wide range of activities, while respecting its principles.
